TECH Shack
Thursday,
September 10:
Waco TECH, the City of Waco, and Time Warner Cable host a ribbon
cutting at the Bledsoe Miller Recreation Center TECH Shack Computer

which serves all of Bledsoe Miller's patrons with free access to the
internet.
Waco TECH provides after-school educational programming Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday. The TECH Shack also hosts New Horizons, our adult computer
literacy program, twice a month.
Our Computer Clubhouse opened
its doors Monday, August 24, 2009 to school children ages 8-16.
Based in the Waco Housing Authority's Computer Labs, Clubhouse meets three days a week
from 4-6 p.m. and focuses on educational and technological skills
development.
Children in the program work on computer-based activities as well as
getting help with their homework and strengthening their basic computer
skills. Throughout the year, the children will also go on field
trips
to several Waco attractions and sites.
Computer Clubhouse
is provided in conjunction with Waco Housing Authority and funded by a
generous grant from the Rapoport Foundation.
