Building a community takes time and effort. Building a community that is able to bridge the Digital Divide (the gap between those individuals who have access to computers and those who do not) takes time, effort, resources, and cooperation. TECH (Technology Expanding Community Horizons) is a new local non-profit corporation dedicated to providing computer training, access, and resources to underprivileged members of the local community that you already serve.

Although we will ultimately be developing a localized community technology center, currently we’re developing a mobile unit of ten laptop computers to take out into the community to offer technological resources on a limited basis. This mobile unit will enable us to help a small portion of the community, while discovering what specific needs exist in McLennan County and what needs we can fill.
